New Website Features For Premium Members
Summit's Analytics Version 1.3: saved favorites, updated charts, growth rates, and more
New Update Is Live
This is our second update to the website in two weeks, and it brings both new features and some aesthetic improvements. We’re not nearly where we want to be, but each update gets us closer.
For those unfamiliar: premium members of this Substack get free access to our stock research website. You can look up any stock and instantly get a snapshot of its financials. You can save your favorite stocks, and soon you’ll be able to value them using Monte Carlo simulation.
Here’s what’s changed:
Home Page Tweaks
We recently launched a proper home page. Since then, we’ve refined it: slightly smaller text, smoother layout, and, most importantly, fade-in animations. Yes, very fancy stuff.
The login button also got a change. The old one was ugly. We much prefer this new version.
A Step Closer to a Real Dashboard
Logged-in users can now:
Search for any stock
Quickly return to recently viewed stocks
Save up to 100 favorites for faster access
This favorites feature is new and still evolving. Eventually, you’ll be able to organize stocks into custom categories—like a portfolio or watchlist category. We also added ticker symbols and sectors to the dashboard to give you more context at a glance.
Stock Price Chart Upgrade
The price chart is now interactive. You can toggle between 1-, 2-, and 5-year periods.
If the stock’s up over the period, the chart turns green. If it’s down, red. You’ll also see the percentage change. Basic but useful.
Expect more interactivity in the future.
New Profitability Chart
We’ve added a profitability chart. You could already see margins and cash flow, and now you can see actual profits.
Frankly, we should’ve added this earlier. I assumed revenue and margins would be enough.
Improved ROIC Chart
The ROIC chart is now focused on just ROIC. We’ve removed ROE and added NOPAT and invested capital. It gives a fuller picture.
Compounders don’t just sustain high ROIC: they grow their invested capital base while increasing profits. You can now see that dynamic more clearly.
Revenue Growth Rates
Revenue charts now show CAGR. Again, simple but useful.
This is just the first step. Growth rates will be added to other charts soon.
What’s Next
This was definitely our biggest update yet, but it’s still just a piece of the roadmap. Here’s what’s coming next for premium members:
Growth rates added across more charts (where relevant)
Continued design and usability upgrades (we’re not designers ourselves, so bear with us)
An even better stock price chart
Categories for your saved stocks
A more detailed stock overview (with market cap, sector, P/E, FCF Yield, etc.)
An easy-to-use yet powerful Monte Carlo simulation for stock valuation
That’s all for now.
If you haven’t checked out the site yet, now’s a good time. Premium members get all Substack content plus free access to the platform.
Thanks for the continued support.
